Director, Technical Program Management, Google Identity and Engagement

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years product development or Technical Program Management or Program Management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to partner across organizational boundaries to create operating models balancing business incentives and technical needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups. Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience.
  • Ability and passion to lead and develop a team of Program Managers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills. Focused and agile.
  • Demonstrated success leading large transformational front-end and infrastructure programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with GIE Vice Presidents and other cross-functional leaders to enable product outcomes of the GIE portfolio, including several Google-level initiatives that span multiple Product Areas across Google.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of Technical/Program Managers supporting the GIE organization, ensuring each individual is aligned to business critical product pillar work.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to design, implement, and drive organization-level processes to enable program health and progress (e.g., project intake, capacity and planning, OKRs, roadmaps).
  • Partner with the GIE leads to drive communications strategies to enable information flow, community, and a sense of belonging across the organization.
  • Operate as connector and leader within Core Project Management Organization (PMO) organization, representing the values/principles of Core PMO in pillar-level work, and participating in leadership opportunities and development.
