What to Expect

The Quality Inspectors will be responsible for inspecting for compliance of product and escalating with any issues found which includes classifying defects. Other responsibilities include dispositioning material, 100% in station inspections and line side sorts. Developing relationships with other cross-functional departments to drive disposition of parts and evaluating the concern versus the return.

Shift: 6:50AM – 7:00PM or 6:50PM – 7:00AM

 

 

Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday
Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

What You’ll Do

  • Systematically marking parts that could be special interest for expedited return to Engineers and Quality Technicians
  • Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of defect material throughput and systematically logging information
  • Provide data input and output reports to assist in driving improvements
  • 100% Inspections and support corrective actions based on defect reason
  • Disposition defect material and sort material if needed
  • Maintain 5S in station

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment
  • Technical background and troubleshooting knowledge and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Work, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships across various organizations within Tesla and must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and keep on task in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision
  • Must be detail orientated, reliable, have good initiative, determination, and quality focused

 

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time over varied
  • and uneven terrain
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50lbs and climb a 10″ step and back down
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift, reach, stoop, lay, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
  • Potential exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Expected Compensation
  • Quality Inspector – $22.44/hour
